By accessing or using NyayaSetu, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the platform.

2. Nature of Service

NyayaSetu is an informational platform that aggregates publicly available legal information from official Indian government sources. It is NOT a law firm, does NOT provide legal advice, and does NOT create an attorney-client relationship.

3. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

AI-generated summaries, case briefs, and chat responses are produced by large language models and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. These outputs are for informational purposes only. Users must:

  • Verify all AI-generated content against original legal sources
  • Not rely solely on AI summaries for legal decision-making
  • Consult qualified legal professionals for legal advice

4. Data Sources

Legal data is sourced from official government websites including India Code, Supreme Court of India, High Court websites, the Gazette of India, and ministry portals. While we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee the completeness or timeliness of scraped data. Always verify with the original source.

5. User Accounts

  • You must provide a valid Indian mobile number for authentication
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
  • You must not share your OTP or access tokens with others
  • We may suspend accounts that violate these terms

6. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to scrape, copy, or redistribute the platform's content at scale
  • Interfere with the platform's operation or security
  • Misrepresent AI-generated content as professional legal advice
  • Use the platform to harass, defame, or harm others

7. Intellectual Property

Legal texts, judgments, and legislation are public documents. The platform's code, design, AI models, and curated metadata are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

8. Limitation of Liability

NyayaSetu is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the platform or reliance on its content.

9. Sensitive Content

Some legal documents may involve sensitive matters (POCSO, sexual offences, etc.). Such content is flagged and may have restricted access. Court-ordered anonymization is respected.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in New Delhi.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
